Ingredients
5 cloves garlic; 5-6, sliced
1 cup coconut shreds; unsweetened
1 tablespoon cumin seed; whole
3 red chiles; 3-4, dried
2 tablespoon sesame seeds
2 tablespoon tamarind pulp; seedless
1/4 cup peanuts; unsalted
1/2 teaspoon salt; or to taste
Directions: How to Cook Lasoon Chutney (Garlic) (W)
Roast all of the above ingredients independently with the exception of the salt in a dry skillet until they turn reddish brown in color. Grind them in a coffee mill and serve either dry as a condiment or serve with ghee.
